Internet speed not what I’m paying for
So I’m sure this question has been asked many times before, but I just wanted some clarification. I pay for up to 1000 mbps download speeds. But when I do a speed test on my phone it’s showing a speed of somewhere in the 500 mbps range. Is there something wrong with my hardware or my connection to the line, or is this to be expected? If so, why am I paying for more if I can even access it? TIA

Good afternoon @user_b74529. The download speeds are up to that set amount and can vary greatly on many factors. For example, I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max with gigabit internet. I ran 3 different speed tests near my modem and averaged about 700 down. I ran another test on my PS5 and saw speeds closer to 150 down. To really see the best results, you want to run these tests on a hardwired device. Without knowing what device you have, I would say 500 down on a phone is pretty standard. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Please create a new topic of your own here on this board detailing your issue. Thanks. The original poster has not returned. 4-month-old dead thread is now being closed.
For future reference, it is better to submit your own post as it creates a ticket to get help, and posting on someone else's older thread can delay getting help.
