Internet speed issues and horrible gaming internet

Over the last year. I have used 2 different routers and 2 different modems. I own all 4 devices. I noticed over the year long period that there is something fishy going on with the download and upload speed. Doesn't matter which router or modem i have hooked up, the download speed sits around 800 Mbps. Upload seems fine on speedtests. The internet plan is for 1200 Mbps download and 35 Mbps upload. Not only is this a big issue because i've been getting cheated out of 400 Mbps download for a very long time which is more than a lot of ppl's internet plan. It's insane Xfinity blatantly just rips ppl off like this. Don't get me started on trying to game with this internet. It's literally impossible to be competitive while using Xfinity internet. I even have gaming routers w/ all the bells/whistles for improving packet/data transferring and prioritizing ur gaming device w/ "high speeds." Unfortunately i think Xfinity's new system allows them a way to counter everything so they can control ur network even though u pay them for these "high" speeds. They are not truthful when u call or message them about ur concerns. Next thing u know ur out buying extremely expensive devices to hopefully fix the problem becsuse the agent lied about things and got u thinking it's not their internet or their infrastructure causing the problems. However, u spend thousands for it to work long enough until the system or someone running the system to notice ur getting too much data or high speeds through their network too fast. Next thing u know it's all a waste because they capped everything. Whether it's the gaming devices being limited, gaming pc, or the network as a whole. [Edited: "Solicitation"] We pay for a particular internet plan and we aren't getting anywhere close to those speeds. On top of that, we've been telling Xfinity about the poor gaming experience for nearly a decade. It doesn't get fixed. It's being ignored big time, because it's all being orchestrated on purpose. Very irritated and fed up with the lies.

Hello Chiweeniemommy22. Please make sure you are using a Docsis 3.1 modem for your internet, as this will get you the most speed from the internet plan you are on. Also, we always ask our customers to make sure they are hardwired when gaming, since this will give you the best speed without interruptions.

Hello, Recently i upgraded my xfinity internet service plan from 300mbps to 800 mbps . Every time i check my internet speed , it never exceeds more than 450mbps . This is tested without using my own router or vpn connection . I tested this directly from modem with wired connection to my laptop. This is horrible service from xfinity what they promise never fulfilled.  I requested multiple complaint with call , chat and email to customer care . No one attained  yet. I do have Xfinity mobile , Xfinity TV along with Xfinity internet service . If it is not resolved soon , i will switch back to Verizon FIOS for sure. Thanks.
