internet service

My internet keeps dropping every 10-15 minutes, it stays out for 1-2 minutes then comes back just fine.  This makes streaming tv shows very difficult....

Greetings, user_mzy1ba! We are happy to further help with the internet service. I totally get that watching is near impossible with that happening! Let's get it fixed! Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far such as resetting your modem?

 

The Xfinity app can be very handy in this type of situation. The app will run a scan of the area for problems and allow you to sign up for text alerts. If there are no issues you can troubleshoot, send signals to your equipment, and schedule a Technician visit. We want things at your fingertips! I know it has saved me a few times now!

How do I reset the modem? should I just unplug it for at least 10 seconds then plug it back in?

@XfinityRay​ The xfinity app thinks everything is working since whenever it tries to troubleshoot the internet is working.  It comes and goes which is the difficult thing, the mobile assistant does not understand that.

Yes you can unplug the modem, Wait a minute and then plug the modem back in.
