Internet routing issue

I am unable to access my bank's web banking app (ChelseaGroton Bank/myvirtualbranch.com) when connected to my home WiFi network.  If I shut off WiFi on my phone, it connects to the site properly using the mobile data network.

I've also noticed that I sometimes cannot connect to a friend's site in Florida.  I am able to ping his IP [Edited: "Personal Information"], but attempting to connect via Telnet results in "Connection timed out."  It was working yesterday, but now it seems the connection attempt disappears into an abyss somewhere between Comcast in New York and Cox in Florida.

No changes were made to my firewall (or his) that could have broken our connection.

Of course, it seems impossible to file a trouble ticket on Comcast's support center for such things; the website wants to refer you to the Xfinity Assistant for anything other than billing issues or cable wires causing a safety hazard.

user_ajl41 Thanks for reaching out about your connection issue to your online banking, and friends site. I would be happy to help in any way I can to get this fixed for you.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
