Internet Quailty Issues (Uncorrectable Codewords On OFDM)
Hi, I'm experiencing persistent random bursts of packet loss and I've already done a fair amount of troubleshooting on my end. My Modem is a Hitron CODA56.
What I've tried:
- Tightened all my coax connectors
- Tried removing all in-home splitters and running the modem on the entry Coax through a MoCA POE filter. Counterintuitively, the packet loss got considerably worse so I went back to running through the splitter.
From what I can see on my modem stats page is the high-frequency DOCSIS 3.1 channels are racking up hundreds of millions of uncorrectable errors.
Can someone take a look and/or get a tech dispatched to check the drop and tap? Thanks in advance!

Turns out it was two separate issues. The random bursts of packet loss were most likely caused by failing equipment somewhere in my local area. After an unexpected outage and the subsequent repair, the packet loss disappeared. As for the rest of the problems, water was somehow getting into our service drop (power pole to house) and slowly corroding the line. Once that line was replaced, everything cleared up. Thank you for all the help!

1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
6. A "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
8. Press Enter to send it.
