Internet Problems

My wireless network is no longer working. What's weird is that my mini pc will connect to the internet if I use an ethernet cable directly to my box, but no other devices will work. When I plug the same cord into my laptop, no internet. If I change cords and ethernet ports, it will work for my mini pc but not my laptop. That indicates that the issue isn't with the box, but it's odd that all other devices are having issues.

I bought a Firewalla Purple a few months ago and things have been going well. I had to put the modem into bridge mode and don't know if this has anything to do with it. However, it seems like this problem would have started immediately, not after a few months.

Any ideas are welcome.

By "box", do you mean the Xfinity device or the Firewalla ? If it is the former, in bridge mode, the WiF is disabled. Also, in bridge mode, you have to power cycle/reboot the Xfinity modem/ device each and every time that you change the device that is being directly connected to it in order for that device to be able to gain internet connectivity.

@EG Thanks so much for that help. I unplugged all other ethernet cords except the one going to my router, then reset the modem. Wifi works now.

What I don't understand is how everything was working for a few months - the router as well as my mini-PC and laptop using direct connection through ethernet cables. Why does it all of a sudden only accept one?

Thanks again!
