Internet Outage Every Single Day Requiring Router Reset

For the last 2-3 months we have been having our internet (WIFI) go out every single day causing us to restart the router. I have spoken with Xfinity and even scheduled an appointment to have a technician come out. After the appointment was scheduled I received a notice that Xfinity was able to determine the issue and fixed it, so they cancelled the appointment on me. It was fixed for 2 days, then back to daily outages. It is not our router (we had Netgear test it), and it seems like Xfinity won't actually fix the issue that's on their end.. Has anyone else been dealing with anything similar?

What is the exact model number of the Netgear "router" ? For a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the Netgear with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?


With this test, we are trying to isolate this down to being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step in troubleshooting before proceeding any further.
