Internet outage caused modem problem "SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failure to acquire QAM
I know this subject has been posted by someone else, but from my rudimentary understanding my case is novel from that. My internet was working absolutely fine, until an "unforeseen event" (as Xfinity put it) caused an outage for me and about 500 others. After the internet was "restored" to my location my modem started acting very poorly. I went to 192.168.100.1 to try to fix it, but my starting frequency is 0 and I got the error "SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing, CM-MAC=14:59:c0:76:5d:d0;CMTS-MAC=00:00:00:00:00:00;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1.
Do I need a different modem? I refuse to pay for a monthly modem from Xfinity, so I'd rather buy my own from a more reputable company.

Please also post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.
