Internet Offline Entire Day

This morning my area had an xfinity outage which ended a few hours ago. I assumed afterwards my modem would be online but alas I had no internet connection. I tightened the cables, restarted the modem several times, troubleshooted every way I knew how. But still with no results, can anyone please help me?
