Internet now much slower after "upgrade"

I pay for 300Mbps service.  I've measured a little over that recently, which was great.

Then I got an email that they were "upgrading" me to 400Mbps for the same cost.  I just needed to restart my modem.  So I did.  I now measure less than 95Mbps at 1:00 a.m.  And even slower during the day.  How do I get back the speed I'm supposed to have?

Thanks for the reply. Turns out that it was just coincidental timing. Apparently my Cat6 cable was not very good and my Ethernet connection started to only negotiate to a 100 Mbps connection. Swapped some cables and get over 400 Mbps.

What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?

Try calling 1-800-comcast and ask a rep to completely remove the modem from your account and to "re-provision" it from scratch. Also ask them to confirm that the provisioning and account data in their database is correct and complete and that the correct configuration / bootfile for your subscribed to speed tier is being pushed to the modem. Good luck !
