Internet Not Working

Long story short, was trying to set up port forwarding, rep alerted me we need to switch out our modem, went to do so, hooked up new modem and the internet isn’t working, despite it saying online

Did you call 800-COMCAST, 800-XFINITY or 855-652-3446 with the MAC ID to activate the new modem on the account?
