Internet not connecting to PS five

This has been a very recent issue for the last couple months. I’ve been calling every single day they claim to fix the problem in the line for my Comcast Internet to connect to my PS five within 15 minutes it loses Internet connection says failed. It’s very frustrating that I have to call every day

@user_1ld6kd so I actually noticed this on my PS5 too recently. The weird thing is when I get the pop-up message on my PS5, I go to the home menu and do a connection test on the PS5, and it is always connected (despite what the pop-up message says). For me, although it may say I have a connection issue, it typically "fixes" itself pretty quickly and I see little to no interruption in game play. Could this be what you are experiencing? When the connection message appears are you doing the PS5 connection test to see if the Internet is indeed out? At this point I have taken to just ignoring the message and seeing if the gameplay still works. Right now, I am starting to think it may be a PS5 issue or minor fluctuations in Internet connection. I am not sure if that is your case, but I wanted to let you know that you are not alone and that it may be a PS5 issue and not an Internet issue if you can still perform successful connection tests.

@user_1ld6kd Thank you for sharing the trouble. I am sorry to hear that you are having an ongoing issue with the connection. I'm sure working with my peers you may have answered this, but is the PS5 the only system / device on your home network that is dropping a connection? I want to help make sure that you don't continue to have this issue each day. I would rather you have an enjoyable time using your services instead of troubleshooting it. Is the PS5 connected to the modem with an ethernet cable or wireless. As @Here4Help mentioned does the connection actually drop or is it only showing an error message?

so I have recently discovered that if I go on the app pause the Wi-Fi unpause the Wi-Fi for every thing I want to use it will work, but if I don’t do that, then the PS five consistently says your network is preventing you from connecting to the Internet

@user_1ld6kd​ When you get that message, are you performing the network test in the PS5 settings? Sometimes even when I get the error the network test in the PS5 settings says I am still connected to the internet. If you are not seeing a dropped connection in the PS5 settings or on other devices, then this is not an Xfinity Internet issue and is likely related to either the WiFi signal in your home (which you can troubleshoot here: Xfinity Internet and WiFi Connection Troubleshooting – Xfinity) or an issue with PlayStation. Are you seeing a disconnection to the Internet on other devices when you get the message on your PS5?
