Internet not activating

Just setup new service and picked up modem/router today.  Through the Xfinity app, I began the activation process.  Attempted for over an hour the 1st time unsuccessfully.  Currently trying again and has been going for 45 minutes with nothing working.  Unable to do anything until it finally gives up trying to activate.
