Internet keeps going out

My Wi-Fi has been going out almost twice a hour ever since I got it. I have already had 2 tech’s come out resulting in $200 paid and they have told me there is no issues or it was fixed and it has obviously not been fixed. They sent me a new modem and that as well goes out about twice an hour also. I have checked that all cable are tightened and the power cord is connected to a working outlet but nothing. This is an issue seeing as I use it for school and my zoom classes keep getting cut off.

For a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?


With this test, we are trying to isolate this down to being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step in troubleshooting before proceeding any further.

@EG is excellent with troubleshooting connections and checking modem levels to help identify the source of the service interruptions. Thanks for helping out @EG
Do you have any devices that are hardwired to the network? Do you see the interruption with all youtr devices when the network drops? If you look at the modem when the connection is gone, are any lights flashing or off?
