Internet Has Daily Outages

My internet has been dropping daily for a week now. I have tried all of the troubleshooting tips as well as resetting the router multiple times. Nothing has helped. The AI chat bot in the app as well as the phone just talk in circles and offer no real solutions. Feels like if i am paying so much for this service I should expect it to work.  If I was able to I would be switching services.

First. When these drops occur, are they being officially indicated here as outages with any info about them ?;

Use a cell phone internet service, a public WiFi hotspot, or a neighbor's internet if you need to in order to check it.

No. The outages last anywhere from 1 minute to about half an hour. It wasn't till recently that I was aware that I could report outages. Also this problem started occurring after we were forced to switch the router. We went from the ARRIS TG862R that had little to no problems to the new Gateway which started having issues within about 6 months.

OK is this with a WiFi connection(s) ? If so, as a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?


With this test, we are trying to isolate this down to being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step in troubleshooting before proceeding any further.

When the outages happen both the WiFi and the either go down at the same time.

OK. What do the modem's signal status values look like ? Try getting them here; http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1 

Please copy all of the text in its entirety of the *Downstream Power Levels*, the *SNR's* (Signal to Noise Ratios), and the *Upstream Power Level* numbers and paste them into your next post.
