Internet Goes Out Same Time Every Night

I'm going absolutely mad with this problem I've been having over months now. My internet cuts off at around 2:47-3:00AM EST every single night, without fail. It only cuts out for maybe 1 minute or so, but working from home with what I do, that's enough to derail me.

After a while, I finally got fed up and bought my own router and modem. That solved the problem (shocker). But now, I have another issue (shocker) with Xfinity's signal where my upload speed is dropping off a cliff in intervals. Unfortunately, going back to the Xfinity gateway seems to alleviate that problem, but I'm now stuck with my original problem yet again.

Any ideas? Been just absolutely left with no more troubleshooting to do on my end.

@user_xp7i7s Welcome to our community forum! We're a team of experts dedicated to addressing all your questions and concerns and we'll work alongside you to advocate for the best possible resolution :). Since you're noticing different issues on two separate modems, I'd like to check out the signals being delivered to your home and make sure they are within specification.

Any other ideas here? The Xfinity employees are essentially worthless for help here and techs have already come out and they don't know how to fix it. A 3rd party modem DOES stop it going off every night, but then I don't get the upgraded speeds, so I would prefer using the Xfinity gateway.

@user_xp7i7s Sorry to hear the techs weren't able to resolve those issues for you. The modem is restarting every night to update the firmware. Can you tell me what modem you have? Is it an XB3, XB6, XB7 or XB8?
