Internet drops for 5-10 minutes, multiple times a day
Very frustrating situation that is affecting my work. Internet is fine, until it isn't. It just drops out of nowhere and usually comes back up on its own in 5-10 minutes. Its not a speed issue, not an equipment issue, I have been through no less than 3 different modems. It is the signal dropping for a short timeframe multiple times a day. This usually happens around 130pm and then several times throughout the afternoon. No one can seem to help and all I get is the "run around" and told everything looks good on Xfinity end. Tired of being asked to "restart" my
modem.
Please help!

Hello @MelCasino, and thank you for reaching out to us about your connection dropping randomly throughout the day. Do you use just our gateway, or do you use your own device?

Is this with a WiFi connection ? If so, as a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?
With this test, we are trying to isolate this down to being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step in troubleshooting before proceeding any further.
