Internet Dropping
Hello,
I am reaching out because I am experiencing severe, game-ruining ping spikes and I need this escalated to a network/Level 2 technician.
I have contacted customer support multiple times before about this and have received very poor service. I was previously sent a Wi-Fi extender, which did absolutely nothing to fix the issue, and plugging my computer directly into the router via Ethernet doesn't fix it either.
I ran a traceroute to 8.8.8.8 to isolate the problem. The connection leaves my house completely fine, but it hits massive lag spikes the moment it reaches Xfinity's neighborhood infrastructure and routing centers (specifically spiking up to 238ms at the Frederick/Capitol Heights nodes on Hops 5 and 6, and over 400ms later on).
Since this is an external routing/node issue on Xfinity's end, please escalate this to a network technician to inspect the local lines or node congestion in my area.
