Internet down, xfinity assistant not working

My internet has been down for days, and I've been trying to talk to the xfinity assistant but it never does anything. Just three dots endlessly to everything I say. I've waited for it, nothing. And I can't find a phone number to call. I've done all the normal troubleshooting. Please help!

I understand the frustration. We offer convenient self-service options to check service interruptions through My Account, the Xfinity App, or the Xfinity Status Center at http://www.xfinity.com/support/status. Have you checked there yet? If no interruption, I want to make sure we are respecting your time and not repeat the steps you have taken previously. What troubleshooting steps have you taken?

I have checked for outages, no outages! We've turned the Gateway on and off again, tried moving it to a different location in the house, no luck. I still can't get the xfinity assistant to talk to me at all. It's incredibly frustrating!

user_zweqzg Can you double check the coax cable going from the wall to the back of your modem and make sure it is securely plugged in?
