Internet down for myself and multiple neighbors

Hello, there was a storm a few days ago that knocked out our internet. The internet usage has been “restored” per the Xfinity app, but myself and multiple neighbors still do not have internet. I reached out to Xfinity support and they will only give me the option to have a tech come out to the house. I have a brand new modem that is flashing amber. I am thinking since there are multiple neighbors involved, maybe there’s still an outage somewhere?

First. Check their site here for any official info on any local outages;

Use a cell phone internet service, a public WiFi hotspot, or a neighbor's internet if you need to in order to check it.

I'm sorry to hear that you're still without service (unless it came back since you created this post). It is possible that there's another interruption taking place, even if it hasn't been officially reported/registered at our Status Center or within the Xfinity App yet. We do recommend following the Xfinity Assistant's suggestion if a Trouble Call (tech visit) is being offered. Restoring your service is the greatest priority, even before investigating the neighborhood for further issues. Please let us know if this helps!
