Internet cuts out randomly

Internet skips every 1-2 minutes lasting 2-3 seconds each time. When it happens, it affects all devices connected to WiFi: TVs, mobiles and Alexa simultaneously. I’ve unplugged it twice, waiting 30 seconds but the issue persists.

I posted to your online chatbot and it said it detects a problem with our internet and we’d need to pay for a tech to come out which should be a free service. Is there anything else I can do on my end to try to address the issue?

First. For a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an Ethernet cable have the same problem ?

With this test, we are trying to isolate this down to being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system, which would of course affect both. It's a good first step in troubleshooting before proceeding any further.

Apparently it was an issue on your end and the AI assistant was wrong. It got worse as the night went on and by this morning all was well. Thank you for the response.

My pleasure ! BTW, it's *their end*. I'm not an employee. Glad it got squared away ! Now closing your topic.
