Internet Cord issues

I am trying to set up my Internet modem myself because it should not be so hard but the cord we have and the cord that was sent were both male parts. I ordered a female double sided coupler but that didn't help for some reason it still isn't connecting to the Internet. Does anyone know the specifics of which coupler I should get. I noticed some say they are better for one cable/internet company.

Is the indicator light on the modem blinking, or is it lit steadily ?

It blinks white for a bit and then it blinks green.

Was the modem activated for service by them yet ?

I would hope so, but I haven't been charged yet which I assumed was because I am not able to actually use the Internet since it won't connect. I have been trying to set it up through the app.

Thank you for reaching out here @user_n9whh1. I will be happy to assist you with any set up issue from here. Could you send me a direct message with the full name and complete address for your service?

To send a direct message [private message]:

Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.

   - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

   - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

   Press Enter to send it

I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) who are available to these boards. They will be able to see if the modem is indeed activated for service. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !
