Internet continues going down

For the past 2 weeks I have had situations with my internet connection. Last week it took 4 days until a tech could make it. The tech ran a new line and everything worked great for 3 days. My Internet was down again and 2 days later he came and informs me that they had been doing some work and that’s why the connection was gone. He fixed it and 2 hours later I lost my connection once again. Now I will have to wait 3 more days for the tech to come out. What is the cause of the problem. Should I switch over to Verizon internet?

  •   Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  •   The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
  •   - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  •   - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
  •   Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  •   Press Enter to send it
