Internet Connection Issues

Every day, several times a day I have to restart my modem b/c I keep getting an error message, wifi connected and no internet connection. I pay $150/month for high speed internet and your service is [ Edited: "Language" ]! I've tried calling to speak with a love person for technical help and all I get is the [Edited: "Language"] automated robot. I shouldn't have to restart my modem 4 or 5 times a day just to trouble shoot issues.

[ EDITED: "Language"; please review Xfinity Forum Acceptable Use Policy ]

If this is a WiFi connection, for a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?

With this test, we are trying to isolate this from being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step of troubleshooting before proceeding any further.

Hi there! I'd be glad to ensure that this gets looked into further, and make sure we fix your WIFI concern. I can imagine how frustrating it is, as WIFI has become part of our daily routine. Please send a private message with your name, the complete service address (including city, state, ZIP, suite number, etc), and the phone or account number, and any pertinent details-- like the ticket number(s)-- so we can help. You can do this by clicking on the icon in the upper right corner of your screen and send a message to the shared handle "Xfinity Support"

Yeee! I've had this problem too, and absolutely no help whatsoever from Comcast. The technicians (all contractors, not actual Xfinity employees) that they send out to fix this don't know how to do anything about it, nor do they care. I'm told to reboot my modem, over and over and over and over and over and over again. It solves nothing. It's not an issue with the modem. It's that Comcast doesn't want to do their work. I'm paying almost $100 a month for service I'm not receiving. We ought to start a club.
