Internet connection drops out for a few minutes each day: T3 Time Outs, Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received errors

Hi,

I have a Nighthawk CM2000 modem that has worked great for the 2 years I've had xfinity service in this house, but in the last few days I've been getting full drops of internet service (usually for a few minutes at a time). Restarting the router or waiting it out usually fixes the issue, but it's unacceptable to happen this frequently.

On the modem logs, I'm seeing errors for T3 Time Outs, Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received errors during the times of experiencing issues. Some research into this seems to indicate an upstream signal issue which my power level seems a little low at 36 dBmV. Based on these logs, is that my primary issue? Do I need to increase the upstream signal power level or what can be done to resolve these issues?

Your upstream power level should be between 25 and 54 dBmV, so it sounds like that may not be an immediate concern. Let's go through a few more clarifying questions to get on the same page. Are you using a standalone router along with your modem? Are you seeing the intermittent connection on all devices or just one? And finally, are you seeing this over Wi-Fi, ethernet, or both types of connections?
