Intermittent upstream failure persists after three gateways—requesting line-maintenance escalation

My download speed remains consistently excellent at approximately 900–1,000+ Mbps, but my upload speed repeatedly collapses from approximately 25 Mbps to between 0.50 and 3 Mbps. This makes my professional videoconferencing unreliable.

The problem has persisted with three different Xfinity gateways, including XB8 and XB10 models. Therefore, another gateway replacement is not an appropriate next step.

I am requesting investigation of an intermittent upstream/return-path impairment, including:

  • Historical upstream power and signal-quality data
  • Upstream channel bonding and error history
  • T3/T4 timeouts
  • Ingress or noise on the return path
  • The coax connectors, splitters, grounding block, drop, tap, and neighborhood plant

Please arrange a technician visit with instructions to test the upload at the gateway, grounding block, and tap, and to escalate to line maintenance if the impairment exists beyond the premises.

Because the upload intermittently returns to approximately 25 Mbps, a single normal test result should not be considered proof that the problem is resolved. I have repeated speed-test results documenting the fluctuations.
