Intermittent Outages with Critical/Warning Router Event Logs

My internet service only recently started to cut out for several minutes at a time

In reviewing these prior posts:

I have determined I have a few downstream channels have power out of spec (less than -10 dBmV) and upstream channel power out of spec (50+ dBmV). Netgear modem Event Logs show T3 and T4 time outs along with other Critical/Warning events.

I've done my best to inspect the lines and cannot identify any unneccessary splitters or damage to the cable. My modem/router (Netgear C7000v2) appears to still be supported/compatible.

How should I troubleshoot next? Anything I can adjust with my modem/router? Anything xfinity can do as ISP to test lines?

I read another post that indicates I was interpreting down/up power values incorrectly - my downstream channels have too much power being lower than -10 and upstream too low being 50+.

Given that I want to lower downstream power and increase upstream, might an attenuator right off the split to my unit be a solve?

If that is -10 (minus) on the downstream power, then it is actually too low. And 50 on the upstream is too high.

In an effort to try to obtain better connectivity, check to see if there are any excess/unneeded coax cable splitters in the line leading to the modem that can be eliminated/re-configured. Any splitters that remain should be high quality and cable rated for 5-1002 MHz, bi-directional, and no gold colored garbage from Home Depot, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. Splitters should be swapped with known to be good / new ones to test.

Also check the coax cable for any damage such as cuts, nicks, abrasions, kinks, sharp bends, etc.

If there aren't any unneeded splitters that can be eliminated and if your coax wiring setup can't be reconfigured so that there is a single two-way splitter connected directly off of the drop from the street / pole with one port feeding the modem and the other port feeding the rest of the house/equipment with additional splits as needed and you've checked all the wiring and fittings for integrity and tightness and refresh them by taking them apart then check for and clean off any corrosion / oxidation on the center wire and put them back together again, then perhaps it's best to book a tech visit to investigate and correct.

Good luck with it !
