Intermittent outages - RNG-RSP CCAP Commanded Power Exceeds Value Corresponding to the Top of the DR
We have had reliable internet service until recently. We are experiencing intermittent outages and it appears from the cable modem logs it must be restarting. I looked at the log file, and the messages show Dynamic Range Window Violation and RNG-RSP CCAP Commanded Power Exceeds Value Corresponding to the Top of the DRW
Anybody know what this means? Log files and power levels are shown below.

Is this with a WiFi connection ? If so, for a test, does a computer / device hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?
With this test, we are trying to isolate this from being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step of troubleshooting before we proceed any further.

These are the log files from the cable modem. Wifi wouldn't have anything to do with cable modem reporting power levels exceeding values. When we were having outages, it didn't matter if the computer was hardwired or on wireless.

Yes I know that of course. I have my reasons for asking, It' S.O.P.
The signal stats are o/k but the error log entries indicate that something is going on. Perhaps there is noise ingress into the line(s) somewhere.
There are other signal stat figures that can't be read by the modem. They are the "Upstream Rx Power" (Upstream Receive Power Level), the "Upstream SNR Ch." (Upstream Signal To Noise Ratio), and the "Upstream ICFR" (In Channel Frequency Response). These are as equally important in diagnosing connectivity issues as are the modem's stats.
I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. They will be able to poll the CMTS to see whether or not everything is in the green zone, see your node / cable plant and modem health, and also see a history plot for the modem. You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !
