Intermittent Lag Spikes

Only really noticeable when gaming, but while playing I'll notice it spike for 30ms to 1000ms for about 3 seconds and then come back down occurring as frequent as 3 times in a minute to sometimes once an hour. This happens on my phone, PC or Laptop, wired or wireless. I've restarted everything multiple times the router and the computers.

Hi, @JocelynL! Thanks for taking the time to visit XFINITY on our forums page. Experiencing intermittent connectivity is always frustrating when I am gaming too so I understand the inconvenience that this can cause. I am sorry to hear about this experience. You've come to the best place in virtual land for help. Let's get that fixed.

If you were to run an internet health test via the Xfinity app, what results would it pull for you?

It says everything looks good when I run the test. Running a speed test everything looks normal too.

Ah, okay. When did you start noticing the lag issue? Are you still noticing the lag issue when gaming at this time, @JocelynL?

I started noticing this a long time ago, October maybe, but I've been on infrequently so it wasn't a huge issue. Still something I would like to be resolved.

This is the games ping graph over a minute. First spike is 635ms second is 1345ms. This isn't terrible when just browsing the internet but playing any game is unbearable.

Was this ever fixed? I am having the same issues for the past 2-3 weeks.

Please create a new topic of your own here on this board detailing your issue. Thanks. The original poster has not returned. 5-month-old dead thread is now being closed.

For future reference, it is better to submit your own post as it creates a ticket to get help, and posting on someone else's older thread can delay getting help.
