Intermittent Drops - DRIVING ME INSANE!

How do I correct the frustrating problem of intermittent drops that constantly disconnect me from my cloud apps throughout the day? This has been happening for the past year! Every time I talk to an Xfinity cs person, they can't find anything wrong. It's like being in a horror movie and you feel like everyone is trying to make you think you're insane. Anyone else going through this or am I REALLY insane???

Is this with a WiFi connection ? If so, for a test, does a computer / device hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?


With this test, we are trying to isolate this from being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step of troubleshooting before we proceed any further.

I have the same issue, typically daily.  I installed an "connection monitor" extension on Chrome that runs on both wired and wireless machines 24x7, and the disconnect times are the same for both wired and wireless logs.   I've had Comcast out to the house multiple times - the last two times my router was swapped out.  All in-house connectors seems fine, signals outside seem fine, tech checked the local box at the neighbors as well.  Everything looks good on their end.  My internal network is fairly simple:   Comcast Router -> personal switch for wired connections, using Comcast Wi-Fi.   If it was the switch failing then I would expect only the wired devices to have issues.   I am near my wit's end.   

Here's a sample log when we were trying to stream some videos.. the videos were buffering/pausing quite a bit during this period.  It's almost as if the act of using the internet causes it to tremble.
