intermittent connectivity Sugar Land Texas
I've been having intermittent internet connectivity issues with Xfinity/Comcast for the last 6 to 8 months.
I've had techs onsite 2 times, which they've told me nothing is wrong, I've specifically asked them to look at the DMARC in my neighbors backyard which they say they will then drive off and close my ticket.
I replaced my modem 2 months ago in the event it was an issue with the modem. This was not the case.
This isn't a problem with my modem or router. I've directly connected to my modem and the issue is still there. I've also put my old modem back online with a direct connect and still had the same issue. I've rolled back to the new modem and my router.
Direct connect to my modem shows dropped packets consistently HERE: 96.120.17.205 Traceroute shows this is the first hop past my modem.
Occasionally from HERE: 96.110.241.57 This is the second hop past my modem.
This typically occurs from 900a-1100a CST and 200p-400p CST.
Contacting online via XFinity chat hasn't been ANY help, they specifically ask for my credentials.
Using the Text feature is useless as it says the problem is "my equipment."
If the problem is strictly "my equipment" then bypassing new equipment should have resolved it.
My neighbors have the same issues as I do when they work from home, at roughly the same time.
We've got fiber deploying in our neighborhood which I'll likely be forced to go to if Xfinity cannot get this resolved. Any suggestions other than me venting here would be great.

My gateway being 73.77.176.1 doesn't get ANY of my traffic (at least not visibly through tracerts or pathpings) traffic looks like its going straight to 96.120.17.205.
My assumption at this point is that Xfinity/Comcast has fudged routing and its causing issues on returns.

Based on Pathpings and Tracerts Xfinity/Comcast automatically forwards traffic from 73.77.176.1 (Comcast Cisco equipment) to 96.120.17.205 (Comcast Unknown equipment with problems in Houston) back to 96.110.241.57 (Comcast Cisco Equipment Houston/Sugar Land) then out through 162.151.135.166 (Comcast Cisco equipment in Sugar Land).
Serious problems with Xfinity/Comcast.
Well come June or July when fiber is installed its clear that its time to leave Xfinity/Comcast.
