Installation of New Ethernet Port

One of the requirements for my job is to have a hardline internet connection and to do that I need to get an ethernet cable hardwired up to my office. We have one downstairs that we use for our wifi router, but I can't exactly snake 25 feet of cable up the stairs.

How would I go about doing this? The app has been zero help.

Comcast will not install ethernet cabling inside a residence.  You will have to find someone to do it for you if you are not willing to do it yourself.  Running cables inside walls has very specific requirements, so it is best to have someone with experience do it for you.

Hire a local low voltage electrician. Another possible option. If you have coax cable jacks in both rooms, MoCA adapters may be a solution for you. Ask your boss if they are o/k. You can Google "MoCA adapters" for more info. Good luck !
