Increase upload speed?
Hello,
Currently our household has the Gigabyte internet plan which shows 1200 Mbps download and 35Mbps upload. What are options for increasing the upload speed? With internet based calling and video conferencing, the 35Mbps just isn't cutting it anymore.
I glanced at the website but didn't see any plan options that look like that would fit - please help?

As noted, 35Mbit is the maximum you can get with standard residential service. There is some fiber available in EXTREMELY few areas, but it is obscenely expensive (hundreds of dollars/month). I have read of a Gigabit X2 becoming available with a 100Mbit upload. It may only be in areas where Comcast may start enabling mid-split, which allows more bandwidth for upload speeds.

That's the fastest that they currently offer on their DOCSIS coax cable system.
They do offer a 3 gigabit (with symmetrical speeds) FTTH (Fiber To The Home) service in some areas. It's named "Gigabit Pro".

I, too, would like to know if there's any update that can be shared with regards to an eventual upload speed increase.

Thanks all. If anyone from Comcast sees this - it would be great to have a notification system for when / if the Gigabit X2 launches in a user's area. I would be very interested in upgrading my plan for faster speeds...
