Inconsistent responses and time out
I have used MacBooks, iPads and iPhones with my xfinity internet service for years and overall everything is good. In the past six months or so, I have begun having more and more frequent "failed to load" and "timed out" messages from all kinds of sites (IMDB, SyFy, cooking .com, even Home Depot and Lowe's. There seems to be no pattern as to when this might happen and it has happened on all devices at various times. I have run all the speed tests offered via Xfinity and a couple of others as well. WiFi connectivity seems stable with a few areas of 3 bar strength in my home, but that is also not associated with the problem. I have not received any warnings,, but is there some kind of security setting that could be leading to this problem(which is getting more common)

@boogieman222
For a test, does a computer / device that is hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?
With this test, we are trying to isolate this from being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step of troubleshooting before we proceed any further.
