Improving connection while using zoom

Recently made a change to our service.  Used to have internet-TV-phone bundle.  Went to internet only and use Hulu and other streaming services.  Since we made the change, all streaming has been fine but we are running in to issues when trying to participate in zoom mtgs.  Repeatedly freezes and persons we are communicating with are getting msgs that OUR bandwidth is too slow.  As I understand it our speed did not change - we have 1200 which I believe is the fastest and the same as we had before.  We do the zoom from a different room than the Gateway is in.  Is it possible to boost the connection to that room some way?
