IM ONLY GETTING 300Mbps WHEN I AM PAYING FOR THE 1200Mbps [Edited]

I never seen 1200mbps on my MacBook Air M2, MacBook Pro M1, iPhone 14 Pro, 13 Pro, 13, XR or SE 2nd Gen never seen more than 300 mbps and on my son ps5 ethernet wired the highest was 600mbps.

Doesn't make sense to pay for this might have to go back to 400mbps.

I'm also using a xfinity XB8

Hello @Sham_50, we definitely understand how important it is to make sure you are receiving the speeds you are paying for. Can you advise if you're using a personal router and if you've attempted any troubleshooting steps?

If you're using WiFi for everything but the PS5 going back to a lower speed might make sense.  WiFi is notorious for not hitting advertised speeds (for the WiFi, not for the cable connection... but of course you get whichever is less), and I don't know that I'd trust a console to do a speed test.  I don't have one but I have lots of other devices and the only ones that get 1400 are computers.  Also a PS5 can't get full speed on a 1200 connection as it only has 1Gb ethernet.  About 950 is the best a PS5 can possibly do.  I'd get a 2.5Gb or faster USB ethernet adapter and see what you get wired from your MacBooks.  They're cheap.  I got a 2.5Gb one for $30 a year or two ago.

It could also be a line problem.  Please post your signal stats and logs from your modem if you think that might be it.  Be sure to redact IP & MAC (CM-MAC, etc.) addresses from the error log.  The forum considers them to be personal information and will block your post if you don't remove them.

@zandor60657 Well even when the PS5 is connected to wired I never saw more than 600 so it doesn't make sense because I don't see a difference in streaming or anything I do I only got it for my kids for there PS5 but look like its a waste I'll just go back to 400mbps plan.
