I'm getting text messages telling me to update equipment, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that.
I'm getting text messages telling me I need to update equipment to avoid a service interruption. The text messages give me a link to the account equipment page with a thing trying to upsell me on a service I don't want or need. There doesn't seem to be a way to actually just get them to update the equipment I have though. Worse, the equipment page shows that I'm using a customer provided D-Link DCM202 that I haven't used in many years. I'm actually using an xfinity provided CISCO DPC3000. You'd think they'd know that. I'm not even sure if I need an equipment update. I see this going one of three ways... either they figure it out here and send me new equipment, or nothing happens and things keep working, or things stop working and I switch to google fiber to avoid the frustration. Let's see what happens!
