If you are trying to cancel your account - GOOD LUCK!
This company will do everything they possibly can to refuse cancellation. I tried to call the support number 3 times today and got the run-around.
To start off, there is a bot that answers the calls. They inserted FAKE typing noises while you are speaking with the robot. This is just straight up creepy and annoying. Nobody wants to talk to a bot to begin with, let alone have it PRETEND to be human.
Once I FINALLY got a live agent, they immediately put me on hold when I told them I wanted to cancel my account. This hold lasted 8 minutes. After this, another live agent answered. I told them I wanted to cancel my account and you guessed it, immediately on hold AGAIN! After the hold, they proceeded to tell me that they are transferring me to the "loyalty" department. This was a 12 minute hold.
By this point, I have been transferred 3 times, and put on hold 3 times, for a total of 30 minutes on hold roughly. A loyalty department live agent finally answered and as soon as I said I wanted to cancel they immediately tried to up-sell me, by offering other deals/prices. I mentioned that I've already found a different company and do not wish to be up-sold. As soon as I said that, I was immediately placed on hold AGAIN. This was now the 4th time that I was placed on hold.
I was then transferred to a different department outside of loyalty, to a team that CANNOT cancel the account for me. The live agent that answered said they needed to transfer me to the loyalty department. I was just speaking with someone from loyalty, why was I transferred away?
At this point I ended up hanging up over frustration. Tried calling again a few other times only to be met with the same situation.
The customer support team will deliberately annoy you as much as possible, in order for you to hang up and avoid cancelling your account.
My advice to anyone like me trying to cancel their account, GOOD LUCK! You are going to need it. It's inherently impossible to cancel my account at this point. I've dealt with this numerous times and at this point I feel like my account is being held hostage by the support team. All I want is to cancel my account. This company makes it IMPOSSIBLE to do so. The fact that you can even consider this customer support team to be "supportive" to your customers is sickening. This type of behavior should be illegal.
