If someone calls from the "Advanced Xfinity Support" about a scheduled tech appointment, do not let them cancel your appointment

I have had no internet all day, spoke with a chat agent in the morning who diagnosed that it was a physical cable issue, and scheduled a tech for first thing in the morning the next day. Then 10 hours later I get a call from "Advanced xfinity support" asking if the issue was resolved. I said no, she made me walk through troubleshooting steps again (still didn't work), then cancelled my service appointment saying it was an issue with my modem. Okay...?

So I get a new modem, and same issue is happening. I contact tech support again, and once again, they diagnose that it's a physical issue. But of course now that the original appointment was cancelled, I have to wait even longer for an appointment, they won't let me honor the original time even though it was wrongly cancelled not two hours earlier.

So in short, don't let "Advanced Support" help you, they only exist to get you to cancel your service appointment, and make you go even longer with no internet when you have actual issues. And no, I still don't have internet!

HI there, @user_0d9bbd! I am sorry to hear that your visit was canceled and that you were not able to set that back up. The Advanced team looks into our systems, modem signal levels, the area, etc. to try and find the root cause of the problem. They are great help and get a lot of issues resolved without us needing to take up time out of your day to come out. Have you been able to schedule the visit since you posted this?
