I want to Hard wire my TV and PlayStation 4

I want to run one line from the back of the wifi router, ethernet...to my TV and PlayStation 4. An ethernet splitter can run one ethernet cable to the TV and one to PlayStation 4. All the while, still being able to keep wifi for my laptop and my DJ Controller. Is this possible to do on my own, or do I have to have a Service Technician do it.

You can do it.  You can't just split an Ethernet connection like a phone jack.  It's not a multi-drop type of thing.  Each device needs a separate connection, so what you need to do is buy a cheap unmanaged Ethernet switch.  You can buy a cheap 5 or 8 port Ethernet switch for less than $20 on amazon.

Plug a gateway Ethernet port into the Ethernet switch.  Then plug the TV and PlayStation into switch.

Depending on your gateway, it may already have multiple Ethernet ports for this purpose -- depends on what you have.  Then you can just run two cables from your gateway to your devices.  Sometimes, a single cable to a switch is easier, then branch out from there.
