I have had an xfinity service person set up my router and it works fine. How do I remove the old name from visible networks??

I tried to log into my router by entering 192.168.1.1 but it doesn't allow me "in".  It autofills the admin and password but I have a new password.  How can I do this removal of the old names that are now visible when anyone looks at available networks?
