I can no longer log into my modem in my browser (FF)

for 10.0.0.1, I get "Managing your home network settings is now easier than ever. To manage your gateway settings and other features, please download the Xfinity xFi app."

I assume this means use your app but I have no idea where in the app I can change my wifi 2.5 settings, to

1 turn it on again

2 set a name

3 set a password.

I spent a lot of time in the app but can't find it.

WHERE PLEASE!!!

EDIT:  ok I tap Wifi (at bottom) tap WIFI details, turned split on, added to 2.5 rugsrugs Easy2025#, saved it,

but it doesn't show either on phone or computer.

So I power cycled the modem, but still not showing - I need to use this to connect my Roomba iRobot to their app(their directions). (I use 5 to connect my phone since it is much faster.

Good morning @user_zbso9m If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 names and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

@XfinityJoe Yes, I had done that a few days ago through the phone app but it made no difference, and then the desktop browser access started working again so I checked it through there. Simply poor programming of that modem. I did find that if I change the security on the 2.4 to "open", then it appears. Again, through poor programming of the modem I am only allowed "wpa2-PSK (AES)" or "open". Slim pickins!

I did find that I was able to connect my old router (1750 class) to the Model: CGM4140COM and use its wifi at full speeds just fine.

Pity that the folks supporting the xfinity router can't get it to do that - I see a lot of folks (google) complaining about it.

Thanks for sharing that. Though it wasn't exactly what you were looking for,  I'm glad you were able to find a workaround!
