I am unable to upload files larger than a few MBs anymore after “upgrades” done in my area.

I’ve called twice about the issue, I’ve changed nothing on my end - after “upgrades” done in my area, this one part of my service no longer works. Everything else is fine - can connect, stream videos, play games, use apps, download, etc.  But no matter what device or browser or app or website, every upload more than a few MBs is cut off partway through and gives “Network error” as a reason.

This post is my last chance to get it resolved as the agent on the phone just told me to contact my modem manufacturer for help with the service they somehow broke and can’t fix.  Been through the whole process with online and phone support, escalating to level 2, with no resolution.

If this doesn’t do it, AT&T just put in fiber in my neighborhood and I can get it cheaper than what I am paying you guys so I am about to switch after being a customer since 2018 with no previous issues.

It’s not on my end, I didn’t change anything. Other people have posted here about having this same issue after “upgrades” in their area.  Tell me what to do to fix it or else I need to just get a different service that works.

Hi, @user_9eacba! Thanks for spending your time visiting XFINITY on our forums page and for patiently waiting for a response. I am someone who works from home, so I can relate to the frustration that is caused when experiencing upload speed issues. I am sorry to learn about this experience. We will certainly do everything within our power to get this fixed for you once and for all. We would surely miss your business. Were you able to contact the modem manufacturer to also see if they can provide you with any additional information? I just want to make sure we take all the steps toward a solution.

@XfinityGabriel - I have no idea what to even ask the modem manufacturer about. I am not a technical person. Looking elsewhere on these forums, I have pinged a site to test my MTU which is at 1500, and that is 100% loss. I can test ping at lower MTU and get to 0% loss, but when I change it on my router and save it, I get 100% loss at the lower MTUs as well.  Note - I don’t know much about this, just trying things others have suggested.

I am having an issue since switching from my own hardware to Xfinity hardware a few months ago.  I am trying to upload 100-1200mb files to Sharefile via their Mac Client and web app.  The upload started freezes, resets numerous times before it outright fails.  It issue occurs when upload 5-10mb files but only after 100-200mb worth upload.  They freeze, reset then upload.  I went into my office which has Comcast business and the same computer and everything upload without issue.  The strange part is I can upload these large files to out office servers with out issue from my home network.

I upgraded my hardware 1-2 weeks after the upgrades in my area.
