... Can you please reset the password to factory?

If the password on the device label doesn't work and "password" doesn't work either, see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/troubleshooting-your-cable-modem:

A factory reset restores your Gateway to its original default settings, including your WiFi name and password. A factory reset requires using a non-metallic pointed object (such as a toothpick) to hold in the Reset button on the back of the Gateway for 30 seconds until all the LED lights power off. If prompted, you’ll be required to create a custom WiFi name and password and reconnect devices to your home network using this information.

Thanks for the information.  Is there a way to reset admin password for  http://10.0.0.1 (the Admin Tool) without changing My WIFI name and password etc?

Hi, thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Forums. I understand you would like to reset your passwork.

  1. With a laptop, phone, or tablet that’s connected to your network, open a web browser and go to the Admin Tool at https://comca.st/3GeOJFQ. If you’ve already changed your Admin Tool ID and password, log in with your information. Then go to the steps to change your network name and password.

Pro tip: This username and password aren’t the same as your WiFi name and password.

If you changed your ID or password but don't remember it, you can do a factory reset.

I no longer work for Comcast.

That is probably possible for Comcast to do, but getting them to do it is probably impossible as it would cost them a few pennies. I know of no way for for a customer to recover from a gateway "incorrect password" condition except by the data-destructive factory reset procedure.

Hi @renatom

Thank you for reaching out about the admin login details. If you changed the password and are not able to get in, you would need to do a factory reset which unfortunately will reset all setting back to default.

I no longer work for Comcast.
