I am suffering extreme latency and need a solution. Upgrading the Modem has not worked, adding a POD has not worked. I need a solution!!!

Here is an example of the type of Latency I am seeing:

I have upgraded my modem ([Edited: "Inflammatory"] you guys told me nothing else would change but you downgraded my DVR and dropped Showtime and told me now I have to pay extra to get them back).  That did nothing.  Then you told me to get an xFinity extender POD and that did nothing.  I am still seeing these huge issues with latency and I need a solution.  Is there any way I can prioritize a device on my network so you don't drop packets and UDP requests to that device all the time?  What else can be done to help resolve these latency issues?

@CORiverRat  Timeouts, connection drops or just periods of blackouts, gateway reboots out of the blue?  I'd start here looking at the signal your Gateway is getting.  Power both upstream/downstream in spec, SNR, Errors might tell you something about splitter/connector/cable/amp issues -- if you have one, or other things hanging off your coax.  If you are going to have a chance of it working correctly, the signal your gateway sees is either in spec or it isn't.

Might want to take WiFi issues out of it too and try it with an Ethernet connection.  See if the behavior is different.  2.4G/5G band steering doesn't play nice with a lot of radios/devices.

Good Morning,@CORiverRat! That certainly is not the experience we want you to have with your connection, I know having a stable connection is vital within homes! What type of device are you using when you see the Latency? Are the device/devices connected wirelessly or hard-wired? Thank you so much @flatlander3 for sharing some insight, and that awesome link. The link shared has some great steps to attempt with troubleshooting the connection.
