HP6830 printer won't connect to XB7 Gateway
Just got an XB7 Gateway and the HP6830 printer won't connect by WiFi, using either WPS or manual connect. It kicks the error that the gateway is filtering MAC addresses, which based on other forums here doesn't seem likely. I do see comments about XB7 not being compatible with many older printers - maybe the problem is that XB7 isn't backward compatible?
Any ideas how to connect the HP6830 to XB7? thank you.

Which network does your printer need to connect to, the 2.4 GHz or the 5.0 GHz? Your printer may only allow you to connect to one network, but not both. Our modems today, will find the best network for your device to connect to, however, if your device needs to be on a 2.4 GHz network, that will not work with the XB7, since the XB7 is going to find the best connection from whichever network at the time has the better connection. Meaning, if you are close to the modem, the gateway will connect you to the 5.0 GHz network, but the further away from the modem you are, it will probably connect you to the 2.4 GHz. Each network has its own advantage. That would be the issue if your printer requires a specific network.

Your printer, if you haven't figured it out by now, will only connect to the 2.4 GHz network.
