How will the fiber network upgrade be connected to my house?
I live in an older neighborhood in the Metro Denver area. My house is connected to the cable network via an aerial drop from a utility pole in an alley to a connector on the back of my house. A coax cable runs from the connector to a splitter inside my house. One piece of coax leads from the splitter to my cable modem. Another piece of coax leads from the splitter to my X1 box.
I just received an email message from Xfinity announcing an upcoming fiber network upgrade. I would like to know how the new fiber will be connected to my house. I have done a little research on the Internet and came across something called an optical network terminal (ONT), a box that is installed on the outside of a house. I have no idea if the upgrade will involve the installation of an ONT or some other such device.
Please provide more information.

Thank you for reaching out to our team here with that question about the network upgrades. The Fiber optic lines would be installed from the plant to the node that supplies your service. Normally there is not any changes that need to be made on the equipment at your address. If there is any required changes at your residence you would be notified in advance.
