How to replace XB6 in bridge mode with XB7

I have a self-install kit with an XB7 on the way. It will replace an XB6 that is in bridge mode, feeding an eero router. I have read some of the online support materials that say the installation takes three steps, involving the Xfinity mobile app. This sounds simple, but I am wondering if there are different steps I need to take when the time comes because of the use of bridge mode. (It took a couple of hours on the phone with support to get the XB6 installed a year ago, and I'd love to avoid a repeat of that.)

Thank you for the links. I guess a big question I have is whether I can do those three steps without modifications, or if I need to turn off bridge mode on the XB6 before I disconnect it.

Nope! We try to make it as simple as possible for customers to manage their network settings, so as soon as you've activated your new gateway, the old one won't matter anymore so you don't need to do anything special.

If you do end up having any troubles, we are here to help you through any hiccups!

Sadly, the app refused to work because it said I was in bridge mode, even though I had turned it off on the old modem. It took 50 minutes on the phone with two techs to get the installation done. Oh well, not the end of the world.
