How to migrate to IPv6 (Residential User)

I've been wanting to migrate to IPv6 for some time now. I've called in and was told I would be pointed to an engineer. I've not received any call back. When I spoke with the Xfinity Assistant rep, She had no idea what I was talking about.

Given some additional information is needed to configure my DHCPv6 Server and Firewall, I would really like to talk to an engineer to ensure the migration goes smooth.

Is there a formal process to move to IPv6? If so, how does one go about this? All I found on the Xfinity help was basically "Yes! We support IPv6, IPv4 is running out of allocations <end>" No links, No Suggestions, Nothing that is helpful.

... Is there a formal process to move to IPv6? ...

If you have a rental Xfinity gateway, it's already configured for IPv6. If you have a retail modem or gateway see the manufacturer's instructions. If you need help, post the gateway or router model number.
