Hello, @user_3wibo6 Let's check your residence to see if it has been upgraded to our next-generation speed enhancement, and you have the right equipment.
Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a direct message:
1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon near the bell icon. Click the direct message icon
2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)
4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!
Gigabyte is limited by Xfinity to only 20mbs upload. Xfinity is rolling out higher uploads speeds and many limited areas have it, but it is taking a long time for expansion to more areas. I just bought an Arris S34 modem. It is slightly more expensive than the Arris S33 modem. The specs show both modems the same and I inquired with Arris technical support and was told the newer S34 is very similar to the S33 except that it will handle much faster upload speeds, when they become available. Both are Docsis 3.1 modems and allow fast download speeds.
